Like the Points System, the Reputation system is a key part of the forums. Reputation is a signal of how trusted as a forum member you are. A user with higher reputation is more trusted than one with lower. It may also be used as a form of thanking another user. You must have at least 15 posts before you are able to add or subtract from a user's reputation. Directly asking for reputation is not against the rules, however, it is frowned upon.
